THE PERFECT SWORD

so, i was watching some of the youtubes today and i realized something. What is the perfect sword? well there are many different types, and it all depends on the individuals skill and preferences.  But what i have come to notice is this.... TOO MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THE KATANA IS THE PERFECT SWORD! and i can happily say go fuck yourselves. your incorrect.

This isn't directed to ALL katana lovers, just the people who love them TOO MUCH. Appreceation and worship are two different things. anyway. PREPARE TO FLAME if you disagree. i wont change my mind.

I decided, im going to try to design the PERFECT SWORD. And this is what i came up with. The perfect sword has to be able to both thrust and slash, while being able to block and parry.  THIS IS MY DESIGN~

For the hilt it is a standard longsword hilt, with the grip on the top half and a smooth metal lower half, the smooth metal allows your hand to slide up and down on the handle for better control. It can be held with one hand or with two hands. The cross guard features two finger rings, this allows the user to have more control over their swings and thrusts. The Cross guard is also wide for better hand protection. The blade is long and double edged, it starts off broad but comes to a sharp point. This allows for both thrusting and slashing attacks. The blade is long, not as long as an Estoc but around the length of a standard longsword, or bastard sword.

With the adaptability of this sword i believe that i have created the perfect sword. The perfect Strait sword in the least anyway.
